Mr Chew

Principal Caregiver Recruitment Consultant

Hello, I’m Chew, and I’m the lead content developer and family support consultant here at Inter Great.

My role isn’t just to write posts; it’s to be your personal guide through what I know is one of the most complex and stressful decisions a family can make. I’ve seen firsthand the toll that caregiving can take, and my goal is to translate this entire process into the clear, practical, and compassionate advice I wish every family had.

My Experience & Philosophy

For over seven years, I’ve worked directly with Singaporean families in the “sandwich generation.” I’ve personally spoken with hundreds of families who are overwhelmed, exhausted, and desperately afraid of making the wrong choice for their elderly parents.

This experience has given me a deep, firsthand understanding of what families really go through—the fears, the guilt, and the specific, practical questions that a biodata sheet can never answer. My strength  is in translating this complex, emotional journey (especially in eldercare and patient care) into clear, practical, and compassionate advice.

My personal and professional philosophy is built on three words: Professional, Sincere, Honest.

As the primary author for a Top 10, MOM-Licensed agency, I’ve had the privilege of contributing to national discussions on domestic help and caregiving in outlets like CNA (Channel News Asia) and Lian He Wan Bao & etc . But my “honest” commitment to you, the reader, is to always focus on what truly matters: giving you the information you need to find peace of mind.

A Conversation with Chew

Because I’ve spoken with so many families who are just completely overwhelmed. I understand that hiring a caregiver for an elderly parent isn’t like hiring for housekeeping—it’s an incredibly high-stakes, emotional decision. My personal goal is to provide “Professional, Sincere, and Honest” guidance to make that process safer and clearer for you.

For me, it always starts with listening. I’m a firm believer that you can’t just “match biodata.” The process I champion here is a deep needs-assessment. We first understand your parent’s specific medical and personality requirements, then find a helper who is not just skilled, but specifically trained or has experience for that level of patient care. My articles are designed to help you understand why this distinction is so critical.

I believe our support is just beginning after the placement. This is something I’m personally passionate about, and I help develop many of our post-placement resources. We provide post-placement counselling to help you manage the transition, set clear expectations, and build a positive, lasting relationship. Our ‘fast’ and ‘responsive’ team is always just a WhatsApp message away.

Our “Professional, Sincere, Honest” motto is our personal and professional promise to you. I believe in transparency and compassion. Your family’s peace of mind is the single most important priority, and it’s the foundation of every article I write.
